As Infrared & Raman Consultants we have a global coverage - restricted only by the use of the English language. We have organised training courses in house for 2 - 15 people. Whilst most wish to achieve/improve interpretation skills we offer a range of topics which include:

Sample Preparation - advice or training on how best to prepare transmission samples for infrared examination as thin films, mulls, halide disks and solutions.

Use of accessories, both macro and micro - how to set up and understand the effects on the spectra of diffuse reflectance, attenuated total reflection / internal reflection, specular reflectance, reflection-absorption, interference fringes, stray-light, Microscopes, and Temperature / Pressure controlled accessories.

Guidance on Raman sampling procedures and techniques.

Spectrometer settings and Operation - spectral resolution, apodisation, etc (e.g. how do these affect spectra?)

Interpretation - e.g. Why is that band there, what chemical groups are present, what is the full spectrum telling us?

Quantitative analysis - from simple routines through multivariate analysis procedures.

Need to provide data subject to regulatory inspection ? Advice on calibration standards, official procedures can be given.

Training, talks, lectures and tutorials can be arranged on your own premises to cover all aspects of Infrared and Raman Spectroscopy from sample preparation through to spectra interpretation.
